I usally get over excited and run into to many gun fights and die.

Take it easyer, good sound around, turn the viribate off the hand controller

This is my way of thinking: "the enemy is spawning there, so where is an area which gives me an advantage over them in that area". I've worked out a lot of spots like this, and I push the enemy to try get them to play my ideal game.

One thing id recommend is to try and keep your back towards the edge of the map, stops you from dying easily from behind

I agree, the accolade I have most is "No deaths from behind". You need to work out what spots and starting routes that you can get easy kills on each map.

Does it make much of a difference having it turned off?

I've never really noticed a difference in my game play if vibrate is off... A Decent headset or surround sound is a must really.

If you have enough spare cash for some TB's, then I would always recommend them. But they are expensive, just for a headset. They won't make you a worse player anyway! Carlton only got his after he had a blast on mine and decided he had to have them.

Mine cost 60 euro, not too drastic. Not a single regret, helps your game (especially s&d) so much. For example you planted the bomb and are defending it, you don't have to even be able to see it. Hide somewhere and you can hear them defusing..

Buy the X31's again and return them the next day with your old headset in. Get your money back, should be no questions asked!

i have found that if i am last person alive that i usually shit my self and fuck it up but their has been times where i have just sat their and focus think to myself that i am last person alive and in my experience i find that if their is one person alive it tends to swing one of two ways they all rush around map trying to get you or they dig in deep and camp it up so i think if they are running they are usually being stupid and running out in the open so its a case of sit and wait till they pass and they take em out or be careful and check the spots you take to camp if you were the team still alive

i have bought a pair of PX21's and have found that i can hear the direction from where they are coming from i would definitly recommend getting a pair of TB's

but hey thats just my opinion lol

I used to be the same, but S&D has become my natural gametype and I can handle most situations in it. There are times though when you just can't make the right move if it's 5v1 or whatever.. I feel I can clutch comfortably now too, which I couldn't have done a few months back. If you stop thinking in a clutch situation, you are screwed. Gotta move between each bombsite until you see/hear someone then you know where to hang around.
